Barbara Vari
Co-Director

Barbara Vari is Co-Director of the Woodbridge School of Dance and has been teaching and Choreographing for the past 27 years.

She is constantly striving to improve her skills through classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York City and master classes with choreographers Tracie Stanfield, Tyce Diorio, Mia Michaels, and Brian Freidman from the hit show “So You Think You Dance”. 

She also COORDINATES workshops and Summer Intensives in house with leading Master Choreographers from NYC; Tracie Stanfield, Sheila Barker, Derek Mitchell, Jim Cooney. She attends dance conventions through out the country; The Pulse on Tour(NJ), Jump(NV & FL), Codance(NJ, & NY) and Tremaine(NY) to ensure her students are getting the very best. 

Barbara is the coach and lead choreographer of the Pure Energy Competition Team, which have won numerous high score and prestigious Choreography, Entertainment & Most Inspirational awards. Her dancers have moved on to Company work, College & professional careers in the dance field.

Barbara’s high-energy classes inspire dancers to love dance while striving to reach their potential. She works with all levels of dancers and enjoys her babies as well as her dancers who are looking to take their dance TRAININGto the next level.

Many of her dancers are looking to make dance their career and she guides them through hard work, determination and keeping focused on their goals. Barbara is proud to have found a career where she can help children find their inner strength and confidence through dance.

When Barbara is not teaching classes she is always looking to choreograph and inspire dancers of all ages. She has choreographed for Red Bank Visual and Performing Arts High Schools “ Beauty and the Beast” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie” musicals, Black History Month, winter and spring Dance Major Productions.  Most recently she has done a wedding proposal flash mob, and pre-game show performance for the Harlem Globetrotters.
