Deanna Flanagan is a professional dancer and dance educator with a diverse and accomplished background in both performance and teaching. Her professional dance career includes serving as an NFL Cheerleader for the New York Jets (2019–2022) and the Philadelphia Eagles (2024-present), where she had the honor of performing at Super Bowl LIX during the 2024 Championship season. She has also danced for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League (2022-2024) and danced in various commercial projects and toured nationally as the lead backup dancer for multiple recording artists.
Deanna received her Master’s Degree in Dance Education from Hunter College as a Lincoln Center Scholar, and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Teaching Dance and a minor in Arts Management from Marymount Manhattan College. She is a licensed K–12 Dance Educator and currently directs the dance program at Rahway High School, where she also choreographs the annual musical productions.
Dedicated to arts education on a global scale, Deanna has taught dance abroad in Guatemala and Nicaragua through Juntos Collective, a dance outreach organization that provides access to the arts in underserved communities. She serves as the Head Coach of the Seton Hall University Dance Team, whose performances span high-profile collegiate basketball events including the NCAA Big East Men's Basketball Tournament at Madison Square Garden and regular season games at the Prudential Center.
Her teaching experience extends to various studios and programs across New York and New Jersey, including The Ailey School’s First Steps Program, affiliated with the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Deanna’s work as a choreographer and educator continues to inspire young dancers while elevating the presence of dance in both academic and professional arenas.
Deanna is an Alumni of The Woodbridge School of Dance and enjoys teaching the next generation and sharing her knowledge.
