Lydiette Diaz
Teacher

Lydiette began taking dance classes at the age of seven to appease her mom.  Little did either one know, that one hour a week would turn into a life long passion.  Lydiette has studied various dance disciplines ranging from ballet to hip hop.  Taking classes instructed by master choreographers such as Chebar Williams, Judy Rice, Barry Youngblood, Cris Judd, Sheila Barker, Gregg Russel, Nick Florez, Brian Friedman, Tyce Diorio, Frank Hachett, and Phil Black.

With over ten years of teaching experience, Lydiette has found a way to balance discipline, technique, and fun in her classroom, in order to optimally engage her students.  She is a coach for the Pure Energy dance team, choreographing high scoring dance routines.  She continues to attend workshops to keep her style and teaching methods fresh and current.  You can find her at WSD on any given night teaching Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, and Jazz.

While on staff at WSD, Lydiette received her masters degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University.  She continues to find ways to marry her academic background with her love of the arts.
