Melissa Juarez

Melissa Juarez began dancing at Woodbridge School of Dance at the age of three, later joining the Pure Energy Competition Team in 2013. Throughout that time she has studied ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, modern, hip hop, and acro. Additionally, she also assisted many classes with dancers of varying ages and has been a substitute since graduating in 2019. Within her time at WSD, she also attended workshops and classes from Tracie Stanfield and Sheila Barker.


Melissa is an alumni of Rider University, graduating with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Dance Studies as well as a minor in Special Education. While at Rider, she studied under the direction of Dr. Kim Vaccaro, Jennifer Gladney, Dr. Eri Millrod, Laney Englehard, and John “Comix” Barrella. She has been fortunate to perform all four years in Rider Dances, the annual Dance Department show, as well as perform for two years on the Rider Dance Team, performing at basketball games and at the MAAC tournament in Atlantic City. She also was the Vice President of Rider Dance Ensemble where she was able to choreograph and perform dances throughout her four years in college.
